1. Who we are
DeepSeekOCR.org is an independent documentation project that surfaces tutorials, benchmarks, and governance notes for the open DeepSeek OCR model family. We do not operate the upstream DeepSeek company. If you have questions about this policy, email privacy@deepseekocr.org.
2. Data we collect
We designed this site to minimize data collection.
- Contact form submissions: The optional form on contact.html captures the name, email, topic, and message you submit. Submissions are routed directly to our encrypted inbox and are deleted within 90 days unless ongoing collaboration requires a longer retention.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider automatically records standard web logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamp). Logs are stored for up to 30 days for security auditing and then purged.
- No marketing trackers: We do not use advertising beacons, third-party analytics, or fingerprinting scripts.
3. How we use information
We use the limited personal data we collect solely to:
- Respond to your requests for support or collaboration.
- Maintain the security and reliability of DeepSeekOCR.org.
- Produce anonymized aggregate metrics (for example, number of messages per week) to prioritize documentation gaps.
4. Information sharing
We never sell personal data. We only share information when:
- Required to comply with a valid legal request.
- Necessary to investigate suspected abuse or security incidents.
- Explicitly authorized by you for introductions to service partners or collaborators.
5. Cookies and local storage
DeepSeekOCR.org does not set cookies or use local storage for tracking. Your browser may store cached assets (CSS, JavaScript, images) to improve load times; these caches can be cleared at any time.
6. Data security
We rely on reputable infrastructure providers with ISO 27001-compliant data centers. Access to administrative tools is restricted through hardware security keys and least-privilege permissions. We regularly rotate credentials and monitor failed login attempts.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Submit requests to privacy@deepseekocr.org and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Third-party links
Our site links to external platforms such as GitHub and Hugging Face. Interactions with those services are governed by their respective privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their terms when you navigate away from DeepSeekOCR.org.
9. Policy updates
We update this document to reflect new features or regulatory changes. When we make material updates, we will highlight the revision date at the top of this page and, when feasible, notify subscribers via our newsletter.
